Are the Isagenix supplements a scam / waste of money?

How does everyone feel about the Isagenix product line? Are Isagenix supplements a scam or are they effective? I'm curious to find out if this cleanser is a waste of money...

Thanks everyone,

Phil

It's hard to find people who use Isagenix and are not "biased" because it works! And when you find something that works consistently for many people you become biased! I just returned from an Isagenix Conference in Las Vegas! The products are amazing and the business model is fabulous. Isagenix is the fastest growing Health & Wellness company in the world and their commitment is to raise the health & wealth of this planet. So far they are doing just that, with over $400 million is sales and 18 millionaires in just 5 years in business. This cellular cleanse is all about getting rid of cellullar impurities that make us sick and fat & renourishing our cells with assimable nutrients. Get rid of the bad stuff, get in the good stuff & watch what your body can do! Healthy people are not fat, sick, tired, depressed or insomniac! It is very safe & very effective, total nutrition. Give it a try......Personally I have lost over 35 pounds & feel 20 years younger! I am a holistic nurse practitioner & have never endorsed any products until now.

Re: Are the Isagenix supplements a scam / waste of money?

Hopefully someone checks this...I have used Isagenix myself.  Our chiropractor normally doesn't sell items at his location but decided to because he had wonderful results on this product.  What surprised me was that he used the product, he is the picture of fitness.  But he said even he felt better after using it.  Being that he has taken such great care of us over the years I decided to try it.  I have struggled with weight issues since I was 10.  This product has to date helped me lose 55 pounds.  The other thing that I have gained which was surprising is other things started to function better.  I was told at 17 that I would not be able to have children since my body wasn't functioning correctly.  I have today been married for 11 and a half years, up until a year and a half ago never had I even had a scare of being pregnant.  yes up until a year and a half ago.  I haven't had a successful pregnancy for the fact my body is still working on correcting it's long time problems, but I who was told no children have children in my future now.  That is a gift that no diet plan has ever given me.  Some say loosing weight helps you get pregnant.  Then maybe they can explain when I was 19 years old, less weight the I am now, more fit, much younger...why not then?  Why 11 years later? When I am over 30 and have done diets since 19 but have only gained rather then lost and held my weight loss for over a year.  Being pregnant the two times I wasn't focused on loosing weight, but keeping my weight steady.

Isagenix has been a miricale for me and a number of others, everyday people.  It is worth every penny and more.  If you ever want to feel like you did when you were 18 - 25 try Isagenix.  I don't sell the stuff but I use it everyday and will use it for the rest of my life.

Re: Are the Isagenix supplements a scam / waste of money?

Hi all,

Are the Isagenix programs a scam? a waste of money? Well I can only go by my expeirience. What is my health and wellbeing worth and compare that to results. I know my health was in great need, I was 400 lbs! So I was in grave danger of risking everthing in my life. I needed to make a tranformation. What was I willing to spend or give up to do it? I only new it wouldn't do anyone any good in a pine box! So I was willing to spend some money to get some results. I didn't really know much about Isagenix I just felt that I could actually do it without much difficulty. I know it had to be easy! I know now there is no waste of money for sure IF you stay with it, IF you make a way for Isagenix to be part of your life. You have to be part of the solution, Isagenix will only work if you USE it. Now compare results to the money. My result have been nothing short of phenominal. I know results vary and everyone is different and there are variables. I started March 10th 2007 and today Oct 23rd 2007 I weigh 245lbs. Remember I started at 400 lbs, I have lost 155 lbs and see amazing results daily and it is not all about the weight! Energy and mobility and so many little things are the miricale. To me Isagenix is a reality it has proven it's worth in so many ways. So is it a scam? ... NO it's a reality... is it a waste of money? ... NO Not to me, it has completly changed my life, you only need to discover that for yourself! Money Back , No Questions asked Guarenteed!

I can say that the products are the real thing.  I have been on the products for about 7 months and must say that I have never felt better and I have lost 40 lbs to date and shed over 74 inches over my total body.

I believe in the product so much that I became an associate and am telling everyone I know about this miracle product.

Re: Are the Isagenix supplements a scam / waste of money?

First of all, I am a little concerned about the way some people discuss this product in almost cult-like fashion. It makes me wonder if there are mind-control drugs in this stuff, but most likely it's a money thing (it always is). It's like the new Amway.

I have tried to use this product twice now based on "testimony" by people I actually know (my ex-chiropractor, who happens to sell this stuff). Both times it made me sick as a dog. I saw it suggested that this is normal as the body "de-toxifies". Well, your body de-toxifies constantly. This type of reaction is what your body does to poison. Think about it, I would feel the same way if I drank a cup of Chlorox, granted without the severe burning.

Secondly, drastic immediate weight loss is not healthy. How can you tell? Because severely ill people lose weight drastically. People with cancer lose weight drastically. I myself can lose 30 pounds in two weeks when I have had clinical depression. That should tell you something. Your body builds fat to keep you alive when food is scarce. It should not want to lose it so rapidly.
There is no secret to weight loss. It is like a check book. Make large deposits (eating calories) and the balance goes up. Make smaller deposits and more withdrawals (excerise) and the balance goes down. I was able to lose 25 pounds safely and fairly slowly by simply not eating as poorly. When I started to pig out again, I gained it back. Not rocket science.

Looking at the cleansing stuff, it's mostly pounding serious B6 and B12 and some potassium. You could probably take a heavy B vitamin complex and eat a banana and get the same result. What's causing you to lose weight is the fact that you're starving yourself. Doing the 9-day program as suggested provides insufficient calories and that's why you're losing weight. Pounding water has shown to have no benefit other than to make you pee a lot and not notice that you're starving.

As far as feeling better, you'll feel better with less weight no matter how you get there. The rest, I believe, is a placebo effect, and that's fine, I guess. As for me, I have been feeling better ever since I stopped having my head wrenched and being put on a rack and practically decapitated week after week, except for the apparently permanant click in my neck that wasn't there before.

Bottom line, if you use this stuff and don't change your eating habits, you'll gain all the weight right back again. There's better, safer ways to lose weight, but you actually have to work at it, not just throw money at the problem.
