Other reactions to Colonix

I wanted to post this topic in case others have had reactions to Colonix outside of the intestinal tract. During my initial 3-month cleanse I experienced a burning sensation in other parts of my body. Periodically, I would get a brief, intense burning or stinging sensation in the outer quadrant of my left breast and my lower right quadrant of my abdomen near the appendix. These were both areas I have had cysts. I had a large ovarian cyst that ruptured many years ago and left me with adhesions in the right side and a fibrocystic mass in the left breast. On the cleanse those areas always burned at the same time, intermittently for 4-6 weeks. I knew it was something in the products because I had never experienced it before. The last weeks of the cleanse were uneventful in that regard.

I had a mammogram in August that showed something irregular in the left breast. I was due for a recheck this month but had to reschedule. I feel the cleanse was trying to address a problem and help heal it. Because I also show swollen lymph nodes in the breast tissue I've followed through with some other products to help build up my immune system and see if it will change what we see on the next films. I've had a sluggish lymph system for a number of years so I knew they were there but they haven't changed so I haven't been too alarmed. I just monitor the situation. However, following the cleanse, I have used a product called ImmPower which has produce periodic pain in both breasts so we'll see what comes of it.

I've had one report from a client who also experienced strong burning in her breast in the first week or two on the cleanse. Just wanted to pass on this experience in case others find unusual reations to the cleanse.

Re: Other reactions to Colonix

Hi Laura,

Are you feeling OK now? Has your Dr. given you any feedback on whether the Colonix program was harmful or helpful to your situation?

Re: Other reactions to Colonix

Overall I appear to be fine. I'm still taking the ImmPower and it continues to cause a reaction in the breast tissue. I've also started another supplement called IP-6 & Inositol.  I haven't addressed it with my doctor.  I forgot to mention it to the radiologist but plan to on my follow-up. I anticipate either a negative or indifferent reaction (based on others' experiences).  I was to have a follow-up this past Monday but it had to be rescheduled and I haven't committed to a new appointment. The clinic I choose to go to is on the other side of the state so I have to coordinate weather and clients and company. I go there because I get to meet directly with the dr/radiologist and see my films and discuss the results personally. So I told them I would like to wait till the first of the year. I'll stay on my supplements and I'll post the results when I find out.

Re: Other reactions to Colonix

Just an update...my recent checkup was okay. Actually, nothing changed on the mammogram but the suspicious area that concerned my radiologist appeared to be another lymph node. It was just more distinct on this film series.

I informed her of the recent products I've been taking and didn't get either a positive or negative reaction but she did record in my file what I'm using and inquired about what the colon cleanse regiment involved so she did show interest.

So while there are still swollen lymph nodes (which I have in several areas) I will continue with the supplements I"m on and plan to add the Toxinout product by Dr. Natura as well. I still continue to have periodic pain from the ImmPower supplement. All in all I'm doing well! smile

Re: Other reactions to Colonix

I have been using DrNatura's "colonix" for 8 years now and I just love their product. Each year I do the cleanse it gives me that "kick" start for the New Year. During the winter season my body becomes quite sluggish and I find that the cleanse just gets my system functioning to its full potential. I think that DrNatura's product is awesome.

I agree! Thanks for giving so much feedback on this forum. It helps to have someone with such a long-standing experience with the product. I'm sold on the Colonix, too!

Re: Other reactions to Colonix

I'm just finishing my third week of Colonix and have had a similar reaction.  After my first week on the program, I noticed a lump in my right breast.  The lymph nodes under the right armpit were very sore as well.  A week later I had a lump in my neck on the left hand side, and tenderness throughout the lymph nodes in that area of my neck.  I went to the doctor yesterday, who is sending me for a mammogram next week. Kind of seems like the program is overloading my lymphatic system.  I'll keep you posted on my results.

Re: Other reactions to Colonix

Thanks for posting. I had a private email from a young woman who had a similar reaction. I haven't heard further from her so assume all is well.

I don't know your health status but I've had active Epstein-Barr and cytomegalovirus, both of which can overload the lymphatic system so I've had various times when my system has been overloaded and the lymph system would swell especially in my neck, axillary and groin which are the major lymph drainage sites.  At the time of the virus activity I also had elevated liver enzymes.

Brenda, you may want to think about seeing a massage therapist who specializes in lymphatic massage. It's a very light technique but designed to help open the primary lymph drainage channels to help drain your lymph nodes. I do some limited lymph work in my massage practice and have found that general massage work will often encourage the drainage which would help,  but I would suggest finding someone who has went through some advanced lymph drainage training.

On your neck if you wish to try draining it yourself, you would very lightly run your finger down over the swollen lymph node, draining toward the collarbone. If you push too hard you collapse the delicate valve for about 24 hours. The recommended pressure is comparable to putting a nickel on your arm.

Keep us posted and thanks for sharing your experience.
