My experience with Colonix

Some background on me: I have hypothyroidism and been up and down with my weight. I gained about ten pounds in the fall and I was very discouraged and depressed. After Christmas, I felt bloated and gassy all the time. I took fleet soda to clear myself out and decided to increase my fiber. It didn't totally work. I was able to go to the bathroom maybe once a day and I was still feeling gassy/bloated. I eat fairly well, but it was getting to a point where I was craving chocolate severely.

I saw the Colonix website a few months ago, and wasn't sure about getting it. What convinced me was a co-worker told me it helped with her heartburn and helped with the absoprtion of her thyroid medication.

I got on ebay and bought it. I am currently on my 8th day. I have had no major issues.

The only problem was the sixth day, my body had a hard time adjusting to the increased fiber and Paranil. I drank too much water and was running to the bathroom ten minutes later! I had the runs pretty  bad!The tea doesn't do a whole lot for me. I have to steep it for a while for it to have any affect on me. One time I steeped it for way too long and cramped up horribly the next morning. Also, eating poorly constipated me. I had a few pieces of pizza last week and It constipated me for a bit. It did eventually get out of my system, but it was a little painful!

I have at least 2-3 BMs a day. The largest being in the morning!  I feel more energized, my stomach size has gone down, and my bloating and gas have pretty much gone away. I have also lost three pounds and feel a bit energized.

I don't crave chocolate as much anymore. I am content with a little bit and I don't keep going back for more.

I haven't passed anything weird. I will do a second month of this program. I'll post periodic updates!

Welcome to the forum and for sharing your experience. Everyone has different responses to the products - the tea for example. I've done this enough to know I can't steep very long, but some need to steep for much longer.

I also noticed a change in energy and food cravings, too.

Thanks for a great first post! Look forward to future updates...the good, the bad and the ugly! wink

Re: My experience with Colonix

Day 14: Can't believe it's been two weeks on the Colonix program. Only problems I have is if I steep the tea too long the night before. I had the runs yesterday morning and felt a little sick. I've been neglecting to take my probiotic pill. I took my probiotic yesterday and I feel a lot better. I passed something stringy this morning. Didn't get a good look at it.

The food cravings have helped me a lot. My BF bought a package of oreos. I haven't even touched them. I have a 100 calorie ice cream sandwich here and there. But my cravings are nothing like they used to be. I'm not running to the store to buy chocolate on a weekly basis. Sure, I'll get chocolate here and there. I just don't crave it as bad.

Other than that, nothing new to report.
