Hi - I have the day off today so I can write again. Starting a new thread now as suggested. Did not take the senna tea last night becaue read alot of scary stuff online about it. Anyone know about senna? I think I will keep it to every three days or so - and I may cut back on fiber. Does anyone know how oxy-powder compares? Admin suggested a follow the guidelines on diet - aka cut back on caffeine, alcohol, etc and drik enough water. It is true I have been lax there. So lax that I was drinking a cup of strong tea when I read the post. Whoops. Will keep you updated. Thanks so much for this forum. Switching to water now....

Guess I wasn't too nevous about the tea because I had it last night. Funny thing started happening last night. My feeling of "flu like symptoms" started to back off. Last night for the first time in many months I had the energy to stay up a do a little work instead of just collapse in front of bad tv after putting the baby down. Today I woke up earlier than my toddler and my early riser BF - in fact after I asked if he wanted to take a shower first and he said no - I practically leapt out of bed. I said "Yes!". Crazy right? I haven't gone to the gym in months but today I really feel like it (don' have time but weekend is upon us) - I will make a gym bag ready so I can go tomorrow.
I also noticed that food is tasting better. Things like raisins. And I am seldom hungry and easily satisfied.
The fiber is bothering me much less today - no headache or nausea. At all. Strange. Will keep you posted. Still no weight loss - but we'll see.

Hello and welcome to the forum!
Glad you're starting to feel some of the benefits of the program. My husband and I went through fu-like symptoms, too. Sometimes when the body is trying to clear things out, people often feel worse before they feel better. It may cycle, too, as you clear other things from your system.
I'm doing a month maintenance and I find myself using the tea about twice a week. I only steep it a couple of minutes because it gives me cramps in the night and loose stools.
Wish you success with the program!

Hi. Still feeling better with more energy today. Hurray. I've also noticed now that if I have something greasy, fried or acidic - my stomach cramps right away and I have to grab a glass of water to calm it down. It's as if I've gotten hyper sensitive - in a good way. Like my body is telling me right away when something is bad for me.
Thanks Laura - that's me too, two or three times a week with the tea and only for a minute or two. Laura - when you are doing the maintanance, do the flu symptoms come back? And Did you do the whole 3 months - do you think its a neccesity?

I haven't had any flu symptoms with maintenance round. With the initial cleanse we decided to do three months. Personally, for us, I think it was the best choice. Some people don't see more significant shifts until the second month so I feel at least two months is valuable, three optimal. And on the initial round we used the tea every night almost w/o exception. No problems other than what I mentioned in earlier post.
We also found that certain types of processed food we don't tolerate well and no longer eat or want. A long-term benefit from the initial cleanse which we did two years ago.
