Hi all,
I ordered 2 months worth of Colonix two weeks ago and it arrived today! Plan to start it tomorrow (5th)!
I'm a 27 year old married female living in the UK with an 18 month old little boy.
I joined Slimming World in March 2007 and stayed with them until early January 08, losing 37lbs in total. I am now trying to maintain my weight by eating healthily and increasing my exercise.
I go to the gym four times a week focusing mainly on resistance training but have just started increasing my cardio activity by running.
At the moment I weigh in at 148lbs at 5'6" with a body fat measurement of 14.9%. I am hoping that the Colonix treatment will help me shift a few more pounds but my main reason for doing it is for increased energy.
I sleep for at least 8 hours a night but struggle to get up in the morning and often feel dozy only a couple of hours later.
Although I've never had it diagnosed, I suspect I suffer from IBS. Quite often I will go for two days without a BM and then have chronic diarrhea for a day or two. Sometimes I'll be incredibly regular - it seems that when I am conciously eating better my BMs slow right down. I also get incredibly painful cramping at times to the point where I'm crippled until it passes.
I'm quite looking forward to the program, so wish me luck!

Okay, well it's coming up to the end of Day 1. My thoughts so far:
* Damn those Paranil things are hooooge! It's like swallowing horse tranquilisers or something! Two was bad enough, not looking forward to taking four.
* Ick, ick, ick - I could not stop urging while drinking the Colonix despite it being mixed in a fruit cordial (I know, I know, I didn't have any juice and I wasn't brave enough to use plain water). That was only 1/2 a scoop - the thought of a whole scoop sends shivers down my spine. Thing is, it tasted fine so I'm not sure why I was gagging - maybe it's psychological. All the same, I've bought some smoothie to take it with tomorrow on the 'theory' that my brain knows that a smoothie is supposed to be thick so maybe I won't notice the Colonix mixed in..!
* Had a normal BM about an hour after breakfast (not that I'm expecting any change so soon but we have to document these things!!!) and a mild headache in the afternoon. Despite increasing my liquid intake by 200% I haven't needed the loo any more than usual. Slight increase in gas this evening - but that's nothing unusual for me!
Diet today:
Breakfast: Rasperries with Low Fat Greek Yoghurt and a sprinkling of Museli. Pint of water.
Lunch: Leftover homemade pasta bake with mozarella, 2 oatcakes with lemon and coriander houmous. Pint of water.
Afternoon snack: Banana
Post-work naughty: Skinny Cinnamon Latte
Pre-dinner snack: 2 oatcakes with lemon and coriander houmous.
Dinner: Small portion of homemade meatballs with tomato, onion, celery and mushroom sauce and wholewheat spaghetti.
Exercise today:
1 hour Body Pump class this morning.
Right, I'm going to make my Kleritea thing in an hour or so. I'm not sure how effective it will be as I've used Senna in the past for constipation and even the extra-strong capsules had no effect whatsoever... should be interesting. Will report tomorrow!

Welcome to the forum!
It sounds like you are on a great path for health and wellness. I would think an 18-month-old would be more than enough exercise, but you go girl!!
Hope you get along with the product. I'm with you on the fiber. I have to take it with orange juice to mask it. Be sure to drink enough water after you take the fiber, too! Hang in there!

Day 2
Okay, so I mixed my Colonix with a Strawberry and Banana smoothie which was a million times better but I've come to the conclusion that the fibre actually tastes a little bit like licorice which I hate, hate, hate - and that's why I'm struggling to drink it. Still, like I said, a million times better so I'm not fearing the encounter tomorrow morning!!!
Had a BM just after breakfast - a little mushy perhaps, nothing spectacular. Spent a good couple of hours this afternoon in agony from gas and cramping... it subsided after I had a hot drink though. Haven't stopped pee-ing all day - which is sooo unusual for me. I'm not a big drinker, I barely have two pints of liquid in an entire day and quite often will only need to pee two or three times.
Had a second BM late afternoon, came out of nowhere - shot out of me like a bullet! (sorry, tmi!).
Other than that, feeling fine.
I'm too embarassed to post up today's diet! It was all going so well until this evening when I stopped off at a local drive-thru (whoopsie!). No exercise for me today either. I better work extra hard tomorrow.
Tomorrow's my weekly weigh-in. Hopefully it won't be tooooo depressing - I've a party to go to on Saturday night ![]()

Day 3
So far so... urr.. good I guess... I suppose it's too soon to expect any change whatsoever - right?
Severe bloating most of the afternoon. I haven't eaten since lunchtime now (it's 8.15pm) and I still feel bloated and full... don't know why.
Did notice my BM this morning was pink and stringy - I suspect the stewed Rhubarb that I ate on TUESDAY - man, my digestion is soooo SLOOOOOW.
Couldn't be bothered to get my fat arse to the Gym this morning - feeling a bit guilty about it actually.
Really struggling to increase my fluid intake... I'm just never thirsty enough to think to drink.
Hoping to see some changes once the dosage goes up on Monday.

I'm sorry, I fully intended to do a full blog thingy but there's really nothing to report... everything is going as normal except my BMs now have the consistency of chewing gum - very rubbery and stringy.

Unfortunately I've had to abandon the programme for the time being because I've just found out I'm pregnant!!! Whoops! See you in about 9 months..! xxx
