first timer...im nervous

Hello, I am a first timer. I have been thinking of going with the colonix because it seems like its the better of the colon detox systems.

A little background on me:

I am a 27 yr old male. I have never done this before and lately I have felt really bloated, very tired even on 8 or more hours of sleep. I feel sick all the time, and I have realized that I don't lose weight like I used to.  After doing some research, I decided that maybe I need to cleanse the colon? My g/f pointed out that I gained a lot of weight since I met her 6 years ago (I was like 180lbs then and now I'm 225lbs).I eat terrible foods and anytime of day and also eat huge portions. Im 6'2" tall so I carry my weight very well and Im very lean in the arms and legs. I just have a really ugly pot belly. Im not thinking of doing this to lose weight but I just want to start feeling good again. I have been going to the gym but still drinking a lot of soda. Im trying to cut that out of my diet but for now I was thinking of running the 30 day cycle of colonix. Do you think that will be enough to clean me out or should I go longer? I also wanted to ask if I should see my doctor first. Im perfectly healthy as far as I know.

PS..I forgot to add, This is probably the most disterbing part of it. I pass gas daily and its not the kind you do in a room full of friends and all laugh.People get ligit mad and start to gag. I actually make myself gag but usually I laugh because I can't believe such an aweful smell comes out of me..Bottom line is its not that funny. I obviously have a serious problem.

Thanks in advance for all the help. Im really looking forward to getting started. I think i need this...

Re: first timer...im nervous

Nick,

Welcome to the forum! I'd say, "GO FOR IT!"  I personally feel that a month isn't long enough for an initial cleanse. My husband and I used it for three months. You might want to consider a two month minimum. It would give your system a fair chance especially since your weight is carried primarily in your gut.

You will benefit more by trying to follow some of the dietary recommendations in cutting out or at least reducing sugar, caffeine, refined foods, etc. Having said that, however, I did continue to drink coffee but we found that the program naturally curbed our appetite and desire for sugar and need for caffeine so that was a bonus. Water intake will be very important.

You may find that some of your symptoms will temporarily worsen as the body detoxifies. Bloating, smelly gas (oh, joy!) and such but should improve over time.

You could consult your doctor but would likely get an indifferent or apathetic attitude. I've noticed that unhealthy areas of the body may ache or feel tight or uncomfortable during a cleanse. It's usually temporary but a few people I know felt bad enough that they chose to discontinue.

I hope this helps. If you decide to start Colonix, you should start a thread on that forum. It's helpful to know how others respond, good, bad and ugly!   smile

Re: first timer...im nervous

Well thank you for the response. I think I am going to go for it. Another thing I also forgot to leave out is that for the amount of food I eat I should have a BM atleast once a day, I have one every two or three, sometimes even four days! Four is a bit unusual. Its mainly two days.

Also, What is that thing that comes out of you in the pictures? The thing that looks like a candy necklace? haha I have been reading and I know it is a sack of some sort. Is that def going to come out of me? If so after how long?

Finallly, Is there anything additional I need to purchase? I see the Colonix on Ebay is right around $80 with shipping, That has three things with it, is that all I need?

Thanks so much for the help, Im looking forward to getting started..

The three items in the Colonix are the complete month kit that includes the Paranil pills, fiber and tea. That's all you need to get started. An instruction pamphlet will be included.

The "candy necklace" seems to be old stool that the fiber encases and helps the body eliminate. I don't recall when we started to see that. Often though, it was compressed together and might look like a fairly normal bowel movement. However, we were curious to check what was coming out and that's when we realized we were passing those long chains. It would unwind when poking it with a stick. They can be the size of a raisin or a large grape.

The above link show the diverticuli of the colon. It shows how it's possible for old stool to be in the colon.

Since your bowel habits aren't regular, make sure you are drinking adequate water with the fiber. I personally can't stand the taste of the fiber so I drink it with orange juice but my husband takes it with water.

Re: first timer...im nervous

The difference between colonix and regular fiber? Some might say price. But many people find it just works better for them. There are a number of herbs in Colonix that aren't in fiber you're likely to get in the store. They also used stevia as a sweetener instead of sucrose or other sugars and we prefer it.

Researching some of the herbs included in Colonix, I learned they can aid digestion and constipation issues, help lower cholesterol and reduce certain types of inflammation. However, it may be some of these herbs give some people trouble tolerating Colonix, so each person has to try it and see if it works for them.

Hope your father improves with his condition... and glad I could help! smile

Re: first timer...im nervous

Hi forum, I am a first timer also . I started using the colonix system 7 days ago because after some research on the internet it seems that this was one of the leading products a lot of people were promoting. To be honest yesterday I felt like giving up. I had been feeling really uncomfortable with some bloating some ab pain. Before I started the program I had regular BM's at least 3 a day. Intially on the 1st day I had a real good BM in the morning and maybe a small one in the evening. The next few days I had some cramping and was feeling constipated. I may have steeping the tea for too long. I've tried to modify my diet somewhat eating more fruits and raw vegetables. I still have my one cup of coffee in the morning. I went to wok out the other day and had no energy whatsoever in the gym. I was like what the heck is going on? I have been drinking a lot of water which was difficult at first. I have been getting close to the 64oz daily. I had just been feeling out of sort, but then I realized that they said that you would go through some things because your body is detoxing. I am wondering, Is this what's going on? Last night I let the tea steep for just 5 minutes instead of just leaving the bag in there like I normally do. This the day 7. I had a substantial BM this morning. I notice some little white mucousy looking things in my BM. Are these parasites? I decided to hang in there and keep on going. I started this because I was feeling kind of drained even though I was going to gym 3 times a week. The say that it takes time from all the years of abusing your body with the chemicals and other refined foods. I am glad that there is a forum like this so we can give each other feedback!!!

Re: first timer...im nervous

I know it's discouraging when the path to wellness is not a direct route (and so few things are!).

I also had bloating and it's not something I was used to. Some who deal with constipation back down to 1/2 scoop of fiber until their system is moving along again, so if it continues you may want to try that. I can't steep the tea very long without reacting with cramping so I try to limit it to two to three minutes. Some steep much, much longer so it's trial and error.

I'm not sure what the white things are. Some describe what looks like white rice in their stools. Many parasites that are passed may not be at a mature stage to identify without lab tests.

When the body is detoxing and working hard, you should respect that your body may need a little more R&R because it's having to direct energy toward the healing process. And most of us have to try and carry on life as usual in the midst of it. Hang in there and hopefully your system will even out soon! smile
