Started Colonix Saturday 05/05/05

Hello, I started on Saturday, nothing much happened on Saturday or Sunday, regular daily healthy BM, which is normal for me.  Monday, little diarihha, that's it.  Tuesday, Wed & Thursday same.  I am terribly bloated, stomach feels horrible.  I havent steeped the tea very long, like 2-4 minutes.  I followed all the directions so far.

I called and they recommended that I skip the tea, but now that I am so constipated, I'm afraid to skip it.  I read all the post here hoping to get real answers, after reading all the testimonials I see that alot of them said that they got results when they upped the tea and fiber.  I drink the recommended amount of water, and eat a healthy diet.

The positive is that I have lost taste for sweets, and up until today, I think I was feeling more energetic in the AM, in fact I'm sure of it.

Anyone here experience the same, if so what did you do and how long did this last for you?  I was so excited to start this, but I'm misserable now, and my stomach/waist is like 5 inches bigger today.

Thanks,

Charity

Hey Charity:
I think you should steep the tea longer like almost 10 minutes.  The first time I tried Colonix I had the same reaction and then I started to steep the tea longer and in result moved more bowels.  Also, I found eating more dark greens helped ease the bloating like spinach and collards (I usually make collard soup with beans).  I must say that the cleanse is not as pleasant as some of the testimonials will have you believe, but the results are great.  I've found that before a major BM I usually feel terrible, but I have heard that is because you are ejecting parasites and such and this will make a noticable difference in your system.  I experienced bloating and constipation the first week and then I guess your body acclimates to the herbs and the cleanse.  I would say to be patient with it, give your body a chance to get rid of that build-up and grossness.  Don't use the microwave to boil your water for the tea, that was the mistake I made the first time.  Good Luck.

Re: Started Colonix Saturday 05/05/05

Thank you Verolabrat.  I called today and the lady told me she does not know why they would tell me to skip the tea??  So tonight I'll take your advise and steep it 10 minutes.  I know what you are saying about my body taking time to adjust, I guess I just figured that since I was very regular before, that I would be special and not have the bad effects smile  I'm so bloated, I can't even think of eating.  It is nice to talk to someone who actually has experienced it themselves, especially when I am hearing two different things from DrNatura.

Oh and thanks about the microwave tip - I actually am always preaching to others about using it, I stopped using the microwave about two years ago except for a quick heat up 30-60 sec)  or to soften butter.  It's hard to convince people of these things, everyone looks at me like I'm a crackpot!

One more question if you don't mind, is it true that once I get over this that I will go back to being normal and go more, or will I have on and off periods of this bloating and constipation?  Thanks again.

Re: Started Colonix Saturday 05/05/05

Ok, it's now day 10.  Still bloated, still feeling constipated, although I did go pretty good once this morning, and saw about a 10 inch long thing like on the web site.  It broke apart easy, but it looked just like some of the skinny ones!  However, if my stomach does not go down soon, I'm going to have to take a break and start again after June 5, which is when I have an event to go to.  I was regular before and had lost 6 lbs, which I have gained back, plus gained 5 inches on my stomach in the last 10 days.  I'm really disapointed, but ok with it, as long as I can go back to normal for a few weeks.  Last night I steeped the tea for 13 minutes, tonight I'm going to steep it longer just as a test.  I did have some cramping this morning, and don't mind it if it means I can get rid of this stuff.  Honestly I don't have that many pant that I can button for work.  Well, that is my rantings for the day, hopefully tomorrow I can be my usual happy self!  smile

Much better today, went twice and it was healthy, feel less full, but still feel bloated.  I'm encouraged that it's starting to work.  Steeped the tea last night for 16-18 minutes.  For comfort going to wear bigger pants today as my stomach still is huuuuge.

Been steeping tea for 18-20 minutes, still bloated, feel constipated, getting rid of some rubbery stuff, one was like 10-12 inches like on the site, but not enough to make my stomach go down.  Still feeling pretty bummed with the bloat.  Tonight was the first time I had a decent BM in the evening, looked like a flower stem in there, don't remember eating that!   It was about 4 inches long, and mixed in with some rubbery stuff.  I'm hoping it was one of the little buggers causing me the tummy problems the last two months, now if I can get his buddies out I'll be really happy.

Re: Started Colonix Saturday 05/05/05

I wanted to pass on some information about a product that has helped someone I know who has suffered with many irritable bowel symptoms the past four years. She has had more relief from bloating and other symptoms the past month than she has had in years of seeing specialists and being on all sorts of meds, etc. Below is the website.

http://www.micronutra.com/digestrol.html

While I'm a big fan of Colonix, in her case, we were concerned that her digestive system might be too fragile for the program right now.  The blend of digestive enzymes and other ingredients seem to be giving her the colon support she needs. Just wanted to pass it along for those who may have similar troubles.
