Started my cleanse - 8/4

I just found this forum and have been at this for one week.  Seems like longer, quite frankly, but I don't mean that in a bad way.

I have felt constipated, bloated and my stomach - while not flat - was hard as a rock.  I talked with my internist and he suggested that I try a cleanse rather than more extreme intervention.  Oh - and regular laxatives would give me such horrible cramps (even the ones that say no cramping) that I would actually have chills and nausea.  So, that wasn't an option unless I got truly desperate.

I did my research and ended up with Colonix.  The first 7 days have not been bad.  I was really disappointed (always hoping for immediate results!) for the first 4 days, but since Tuesday, I've been seeing results, at least in volume.  No "wierd stuff" yet, but plenty coming out that I feel diferent.

I was worried about the fiber, but after I started putting it in OJ, it goes down easily for me.  I've even gotten used to drinking the water, which I really needed to do anyway.  I start with two 1 liter bottles, and always take one to work with me to drink throughout the day.

I have always enjoyed tea in the evenings and find the KleriTea to be similar to a camomille.  My sleep has greatly improved and I just feel better - if that makes sense.  None of the major happenings I have seen on the Dr. Natura site, but I feel better, so as of day 7, I am satisfied.

One question I had was about water.  I've been using bottled water (except for the tea at night) but wondered if it was OK to add some crystal lite for variety?  Or to drink the fruit flavored water?

Sarah,

You can drink other water throughout the day - however, flavored water or teas is not considered the required water. Adding any sugars or flavoring is not recommended. It is added food for any parasites that you may have in your system. Refined sugars, coffee anything like that you want to try to minimize or stay away completely.
Good luck and keep us up to date on your progress. Great start!

Thanks so much!  That is what I thought.  I cannot live without my coffee but am happy to be down to 1 cup.  I'm going to try to go decaf next week (slowly - don't want the headache) and once I am fully decaf, then I can probably skip it altogether - at least for a while.

Re: Started my cleanse - 8/4

I found that once I had been on the program for a week or so I didn't really mind not having coffee... I didn't intentionally eliminate from my diet ... it just sort of worked out that at coffee time at work I would grab a bottled water instead.. but if I do want a cup I have it smile

One comment regarding the flavoured waters ....  There are far more sugars in the juice than there are in the unsugared flavoured waters like "Silhoutte".
