My 2 Month Colonix Diary

Hi, all... I'm a 27 year old female who wants to document my expierience with Colonix.  I just ordered the 2 month supply (three month's was a little too expensive, it seems like the price is going up since they first went on the market) Anyway, I am going to try Colonix for two months mainly for weightloss and energy.
I tried colonix for 15 days last year when my cooworker asked me to try it with her.  She forgot to order the second month so I never finished the program.  I did feel like it was benefiting my health but I did not use it consistantly since I was depending on her to bring my share everyday to work with her.
I just turned 27 and I am trying to lose 30-40 lbs. I weigh about 170 and am 5'6'' I will weigh myself the morning I start the program so that I can accurately chart my progress.  I believe I have normal eating habits but still seem to gain and carry excess weight.  I recently switched from Depo to the pill for birth-control, my Dr. said that I would experience less or even no weight gain with the pill (yasmin) as compared to the depo shot.  I started the depo shot 6 years ago which is when I started to gain weight consistantly every year I was on depo.
I would like to start an exercize routine but lack the energy required to get me going.  I have been going to sleep earlier and earlier every month when I used to be a huge night owl.  To get up in the morning is a nightmare!  I'm totally not a morining person, but I would like to have the energy to get up early to exercize since I work 9-5 and I have a 8 year old daughter who takes up most of my time after work.  My gym membership starts in May, but I will commit myself to 4 - 35minute walks with my dogs (about 2 miles) until the gym opens. I also do 100 crunches in the morning every moring after waking up.
So, thats the deal I will write my next entry Day 1 on Colonix (which should be in about two days)

OK, well I ordered the package on Thursday, it has not arrived (today is Monday).  I have started to change my diet a bit. Re: My 2 Month Colonix Diary

Man it takes a long time for this package to come!  It is Wednesday and I have yet to receive my package from Dr. Natura!  I am totally inpatient. Anyhoo, in the meantime I wrote to Dr. Natura about some of my symptoms.  And they suggested that I might have Candida due to Birthcontrol pills and such.  I hardly ever take antibiotics its maybe been 10 years, anyway they told me that my weight gain and bloated feeling after I eat is probably due to Candida.  They suggested I buy the Flora Protect product.  Anyone know anything about this so called candida and the flora protect to supply "good bacteria"?
Please post something....

Re: My 2 Month Colonix Diary

OK, I got the program on Friday the 13th.  I started it on Saturday I went BM two times throughout the day, I guess that is pretty good.  Sunday was better, nothing strange to report as far as what came out.  Today, however, I had runny stool and a lot of it and its only 9:30.  My official weigh in was 178 I will weigh myself once a week to see how much I lose.  I am really looking forward to the increased energy that has been reported.  Thats it so far!

Re: My 2 Month Colonix Diary

Regarding candida, it's a fungus that's always present in the genital and intestinal tracts. The problem is when there is an overgrowth. For some, birth control pills and antibiotics can upset that balance leading to vaginal yeast infections and other problems. You could try their probiotic product or go to a local health food store and buy some acidophilus or multidophilus (it will have several strains of "good bacteria"). Someone at the store should be able to steer you in the right direction. Also plain yogurt which you can buy at nearly any grocery store contains live yogurt cultures and is helpful to balance the body. The plain yogurt is a better option than the small flavored yogurts that will have additional sugars which can feed the yeast problem.

I noticed a bloated feeling the first couple of weeks on the product but it resolved without doing what I've mentioned above. However, we do use acidophilus and enzymes to aid in digestion so they are good to have around. Some people will find they bloat with a diet change especially if they have a hard time digesting raw foods. Hope you do well with the product!

Re: My 2 Month Colonix Diary

Laura, Thank you for your reply!  I'm going to try the two month Colonix and use the GNC probiotics the third month. I never take antibiotics and the last time I had a genital yeast infection was when I got pregnant over 8 years ago. But I did just start the Birthcontrol pill in January.

Today is my fourth day and I feel normal but my stomach does seems much less bloated, although I haven't had the gigantic dumps that some people report.  Last night I forgot to take the Tea so I probably won't go as much today.  Can we take the tea in the morning? Does anyone know?

Re: My 2 Month Colonix Diary

OK Day5....First of all I sprung out of bed at 6:45!!! Usually I fall out of bed around 7:45 really pissed off!  I woke this morning with so much energy I went straight to the bathroom for like 10 minutes and expelled liquidy BM's really stinky.  Afterwards I felt great, exercized for 20 minutes, vaccummed!  I feel great so far and its only 9:20.  I tried to mix the fiber with some oatmeal and it was ok for about two minutes then it was hard to swallow.  I really hate that liquorice taste that it has!  Today I went to 4 Peronil pills and a full scoop of fiber, yuck.  I don't mind it that much if I keep getting results like this!

Re: My 2 Month Colonix Diary

Day6...Not so great this morning, I think I steeped my tea too long.  I woke up at about 4 am with awful cramps, I went straight to the bathroom and had a lot of runny poo, and then more cramping, I woke up tired at 7:45 from going back and forth to the bathroom at 4 and bad cramps in my stomach (not menstrual).  So far its 2pm and everything is ok no more cramping, a lot of gurggling and more runny stool, nothing interesting and not a lot of poo.

I was wondering if everyone could post different ways of taking the fiber.  The licquorice taste really makes me gag, and a full scoop is very hard to get down, I have been mixing it with pure grape juice but that was only good for a half a scoop.  What if I only keep it at a half a scoop? Comments totally welcome!!

Re: My 2 Month Colonix Diary

When I read that you had mixed the fiber with oatmeal it gave me a good laugh! (I needed one today!) smile  I'm not wild about the taste of the fiber either so I use orange juice or a cranberry/rasberry blend. A friend would put it in her morning fruit smoothie. You could experiment with the portion. If you're not getting the results, you may need the full scoop of fiber. It may depend on your size. If a person weighs 300 pounds they could easily do two or three scoops a day, which my husband has done. I've just stuck with the single full scoop and drink fast and follow it with a big glass of water!

I also had occasional nights of cramping from the tea. I had to be very careful about my time so it didn't steep too long or I dumped part of it and diluted with more water.

Also noticed the morning energy surge versus the sitting comatose until I had drank a sufficient amount of coffee. We also went through some flu-like days as well likely from detoxing.

Re: My 2 Month Colonix Diary

Well,I had a busy weekend I had to plan and execute a 50th Birthday party so I suspended treatment just because I had a house full of guests and stinky bathrooms isn't the way to impress them.  So I started this morning (Monday 23rd) with four peronil and a full scoop.  I'll try it with oj thanks for the tip Lola!  This morning I took it with grape juice but I really have to quell my gagging reflexes,  I guess its just a necessary evil, damn you fiber mix!!!! I weigh 175 so I'm hoping I can get away with 3/4 of a scoop on days when I am not up to regurgitating fiber grape juice. I didn't take the tea last night but its almost an hour after I took the pills and fiber and my stomach is moving around.  Hopefully I should be back on track in a few days.
Oh, about the "flu-like days" last monday I had a really odd case of virtigo while I was walking my dogs and I had to immediately sit down because I started getting sweaty and nautious it passed after about an hour.  It was not severe, just unexpected.
Anyway, so I'll keep you guys updated.  Please feel free to comment, question or whatever everyone, especially about how to take the fiber!

Re: My 2 Month Colonix Diary

I'm not sure how things are in your part of the country but this spring a number of people in my area (Nebraska) have been fighting dizziness and some complained of vertigo. I had about a three week spell of the dizziness that seemed related to seasonal allergies. So taking some allergy pills and working some pressure points seem to finally break the trend until tonight. I noticed some dizziness return with an onslaught of rainy weather. Hopefully it will be brief. I mention it though because some symptoms may not be due to the products. Just a thought...

Re: My 2 Month Colonix Diary

Oh, wow that's weird.  I'm in New York and I haven't heard anything like that...thank goodness, but I do tend to be sensative to allergies.

So I'm now on Day 8.... no cramping this morning, I steeped the tea for a strict 5 minutes.  Around 9am I had a huge liquidy BM, and a somewhat unsettled feeling in my stomach still since I took the Fiber around 7:00 am. I was sluggish this morning hard to get out of bed.  But I was off the program for 4 days so I wasn't counting on anything.  Until next time, or something interesting happens....Peace!

Re: My 2 Month Colonix Diary

Day 16-  Well I started this program with a weight of 184 (with clothes and shoes, I don't have a scale at home so I have to weigh myself on the shipping scale at work which is 100%accurate) Today I weighed in at 177.5!  I feel most of the weight loss was in the last four days.  I haven't craved sweets like soda and icecream etc. I'm slightly concerned, though, The past two days I haven't had any kind of appetite.  Monday I had a cup of coffee, a toasted roll with butter, 5 celery sticks, 5 carrot sticks, and a cucumber with ranch dip, and four pancakes with no syrup.  Tuesday I had coffee, a toasted roll with butter the celery carrots and cucumber w/ ranch and maybe 5 spoonfools of collardgreen soup (I had to force myself to eat it)  My bm;s only started becoming solid on Saturday up until then they were liquidy and very loose.  On Monday it felt like I shat a baby.  It was the biggest BM I've ever had.  Yesterday I had my first rubbery BM, when I was going it felt much different so I decided to investigate.  It was about three inches long and rubbery and there were little rubbery pellets like tiny pieces of chicken liver. I know gross...but thats what colon cleansing is all about!!!  This morning I had a solid BM and a liquidy one, I'm going to try to eat more leafy greens today.
Also, I have noticed that I am sweating more and it has a rather stinky odor, I've been taking two showers a day to combat it. But I guess my body is getting rid of toxins.  I haven't had increased energy yet since the beginning, still waking up slow.  Ta ta for now.

Re: My 2 Month Colonix Diary

Thanks for some great updates! We noticed lack of appetite some days and less cravings for sweets. My husband also found he was satisfied with less food, too.  If the body is getting rid of things that are competing for the nutrition then you get the benefits instead of feeding yeasts or parasites.
Some in our family that did the cleanse also noticed the change in sweat odor as well as some skin breakouts from detoxing.  Perhaps once you get past some of the detoxing you'll see an energy surge.

Re: My 2 Month Colonix Diary

Day 19- I skipped treatment this weekend. I took the tea last night (monday), this morning 2 BM's nothing unusual but I did see something on saturday morning that looked like a worm not sure but good riddens.  On Monday my wieght was down to 175.5 with clothes on from 177.5 last Wednesday. My apetite is definately decreased, I'm not missing snack time and dinner satisfies me for the rest of the night.  Today I had oatmeal for breakfast, and a salad for lunch. I'm trying to stay under 1200 calories every day.  Last week I had about 900 calories per day, so far this week I am a little more hungry, but maybe thats because I suspended treatment for two days.

Re: My 2 Month Colonix Diary

Day 20- I skipped a day so I'm just continuing where I left off.  My weight went down to 174.5 (with jeans and t-shirt) from 175.5 on Tuesday.  I am able to fit into more jeans that I couldn't button up before.  I have been doing about 100-200 crunches every day some in the morning and some at night.  My biggest concern is now that I am not hungry.  I don't think I remember a time that I wasn't sick and I wasn't hungry all day.  Yesterday I had maybe twenty potatoe chips, a veggie burger, and one grilled sardine.  Thats it!  I'm not complaining though and  I seem to be losing weight at a normal rate 3-5 lbs a week so I guess I'm doing ok, it just seems weird that my usual blackhole appetite is totally gone. Also, I should mention my sex drive has gone way up, not sure if that is from the cleanse or just cause I feel sexy from loosing weight, who cares! Hellelujia and Amen.

Re: My 2 Month Colonix Diary

Verolabrat,

How is it going? I am very interested how you finished with the colonix program. I enjoy reading your daily updates and how it has worked for you. I have used colonix for 8 years now and it has done amazingly well for me. The first time I did the program I did it for 3 months and I lost 10 lbs of built up junk from the colon. I know from what you have already written that you have had amazing results. But it is essential that you continue through and not skip days especially for the herbs to work effectively. Let us know how you are doing? Keep up the good work!

Even though you aren't hungry you need to make sure you eat enough that your body doesn't go into starvation mode ... I used to wonder why I couldn't lose weight when I was hardly eating anything at all... until last year in January when I started the Curves 6 week challenge and ended up losing almost 30 lbs ... going from a size 15/16 to 8/10 (198 lbs to 170 lbs) ... by eating ... the first week of the program was a decrease of food to 1200 calories .. for me it was an iincrease... the second and consecutive weeks I ate 1600 calories a day and worked my way up to 2400 ... and I continued losing weight even eating that much !!!  I will NEVER go back to not eating again smile  I didn't deprive myself of anything, I cut back on the really bad stuff ... everything in moderation ..
I'm doing the Colonix before moving on to the next round of 'downsizing.  Good luck to you

Very wise and good advise. Isn't it funny that we think that we need to eat less to lose the weight when it is actually the opposite. I know that eating smaller meals throughout the day has helped me drop weight as well. Congratulations on your loss Fyzer! Great job!

Re: My 2 Month Colonix Diary

Hi all:
Sorry for the long break, I've been super busy.  I just wanted to let everyone know that i finished the two months about two months ago and I feel great.  I am down to 160 lbs.  Not from just the colonix though.  The Colonix definately gave me the boost I needed to get off my lazy butt, and gave me loads of energy.  The first month I was going to the gym 5-6 times a week now I am going about 3-4 times a week and I am still losing weight.  I'm not ravenously hungry all the time and when I do eat I don't feel all gross and full like I used to. I think its a great product, but if you really want to become healthy and lose weight you have to make a firm commitment to yourself.  I only go to the gym for about 40 minutes sometimes just 30 minutes on the eliptical.  Weight training I believe is the best way to tone up and lose inches.  People don't realize that the more muscle you have the more calories you burn with 0 effort. I usually do about 20-30 mins on the eliptical followed by a full circuit on the weight machines every other day during the week.  The idea is to change your lifestyle, going on colonix will definately make you helthier but you must go through a total transformation and make a commitment to yourself to do the right thing.  So many times I had to drag myself to the gym and once I got there I was happy.  In fact the weeks when I skipped too many days I started to get depressed and sluggish.  So, I totally recommend that everyone who wants to lose weight to sign up at a gym and treat going there as if you had kidney failure and needed to go for dialysis every other day.  I eat what I want as long as I get to the gym.  I also treated my gym time as if it were my personal spa.  I have a full time job, a husband and an 8 year old daughter and the gym is a set time that I dedicate to myself "mommy time."  I also asked my husband to "make me go" and to not get impatient when he has to wait an extra hour for dinner or such.  Remember your health is of the utmost importance and will benefit everyone else that depends on you.   Good Luck!

Great to hear from you and your personal success! You are so right when you say that you "have to make a firm commitment". I believe that relates to anything you do for yourself and in life. If you are not committed you will not see the results you desire.
Thank you for your up date and all the best!
