I thought I'd post here my experiences with Colonix. I started on the Colonix and Toxinout programs two days ago, and today was my third day.
I was having problems with bowel movement, flatulence, bloating etc. a few months ago, and the doctor diagnosed me with IBS and put me on Citrucel. The Citrucel helped to a good degree - made me more regular and the stool started to form better. However, I still had that feeling of "incomplete evacuation", so on a recommendation from a friend, I decided to try out the Colonix program.
Thus far, I seem to have regressed a bit, relative to the improvement I had made with Citrucel. I have been having 2-3 BMs daily over the last 3 days, but the stool amounts are small and the stool is semi-loose. I have been steeping the KleriTea for 3 minutes and having half a scoop of the fiber in the morning. Today I spoke to one of the DrNatura online help folks, and he advised me to reduce the tea steeping to 1-2 mins (to reduce the looseness of the stool), and to increase the fiber to one full scoop (to increase stool volume). I will try that out tonight/tomorrow.
The other thing is that I drink a lot of water - a heck of a lot more than the recommended 64 ounces. This is a hangover from earlier days when I was very athletically active - playing sports, mountaineering, etc. The folks at DrNatura advised me to reduce the water intake, indicating that too much water dilutes the fiber and causes the loose stools. I'm not sure about this - I don't know if any of you have had this issue.
Any other tips you folks can provide - would be most welcome. I will provide regular accounts of my experiences on this program.

Hey NM,
Welcome to the forum, looking forward to hearing how you progress with the Colonix program.
Too much water can in fact be a bad thing as it waters down the fiber you're taking in with the supplement included with the Colonix treatment.

On Day 8 of the Colonix/Toxinout programs today. I must say that I still haven't experienced the mega-dumps that people talk about. I go about 3 times a day, but it's almost always small-medium size BMs, and semi-loose. I still have this feeling of incomplete evacuation each time. I was getting much better-formed stools with the Citrucel regimen I was on earlier.
I have noticed some white stuff caked in with the stools - rice grain sized white stuff, as well as slightly larger sized white material. Looks like some scrubbing of the colon is happening, although I am yet to see real gremlins.
This regimen appears to be extremely sensitive to things like the amount of water you drink, food intake patterns, etc. Too much water results in loose stools and extreme bloating (at least for me). I also find I have to manage my caffeine intake carefully. All this was much more flexible and forgiving with Citrucel. My wife has had much better luck with Colonix - her BM schedule seems to be going to plan.
I plan to stick with this for another 3 weeks or so (complete one month's worth of the program). If it still shows the same status, I plan to revert to the Citrucel regimen (which honestly worked quite well for me in terms of regularizing my BMs).

Hi there,
You probably have a very valid point about too much water - now you come to mention it, I do notice the stools are very soft (accompanied by that feeling of incomplete evacuation that you mention) whenever I drink copious amounts of water (60oz +) Having said that, I drank less water at the weekend and was decidedly constipated, so it's obviously a question of getting the balance right.

I'm on Day 12 today with the Colonix (I'm also doing the Toxinout). I still don't feel significant impact from the program. The stools are not high-volume, and they tend to be loose/semi-loose when they do happen.
I've actually scaled back on the water intake (I used to drink well above the recommended 64 oz.) and limited my KleriTea steeping to 2 mins. For a couple of days I was constipated, and over the last couple of days I've been having semi-loose BMs.
The fundamental issue for me is that I either remain constipated or get loose stools. The stool amounts are not big either, so I never get the feeling of "being empty". My wife, OTOH, has been having good BMs etc. since she's been on it. Maybe it works for some, and doesn't for some others.
The Toxinout program, too, hasn't caused any impact, positive or negative. I don't feel any of the energy surges that people talk about. The one positive effect has been that I get excellent sleep - the tea helps me sleep like a log.
I'll probably stick with this for the rest of the first month - another 2.5 weeks. If there's no change, I'll revert to my Citrucel regimen, which was working out much better for my digestive system.

NM,
Maybe you should try steeping KleriTea for longer. I started noticing results when I increased the steeping time of the tea...

JP - problem is I'm having diarrhea with even the level of steeping I'm doing. Today I had one semi-normal BM, followed by three loose BMs (diarrhea) spread across the day. I'm steeping the tea for 2 mins at night and doing one whole scoop of the fiber. Today was Day 14.
I was also extremely gassed up and bloated right through the day, and had to consume a couple of Pepcid Complete tablets to keep going.
I'm afraid that if I increase the steeping, the diarrhea/bloating will only get worse. Please advise. I'm this close to giving up on this regimen.

NM,
What is your diet like? How many meals a day are you eating and how big are the meals?
If I were you, I would drop Dr. Natura another line and let them know what's going on...

Hi, If i should start a new thread... just let me know. i joined this forum for similar reasons... to ask questions about loose stool. I am on day 17 of the colonix. i have similar questions... i have yet to have a 'normal' bowel movement. i go like clockwork every morning when i wake up (one night i actually got up about 3 times at 4 am with cramps and very very loose stool). in any case, all my movements have been 'diarrhea' like. so in that regard, my experience is the same is yours. i also drink alot of water, maybe i'll cut back a bit. the difference for me though is that i do not have bloating and gas. my stomach seems emptier... flatter and i am noticing more energy. i am a HUGE napper, i love to get that 1/2 hr in after work. but in the last week or 2 i have not felt the need for one. i even layed down for one the other day and got up thinking.... 'i am just not tired' lol!
so... i guess my question is the diarrhea like stools. for the last 17 days, that's all i get. could it be that i still drink quite a bit of caffeine (coffee) daily? and i also drink a glass or 2 of red wine almost every night (before my kleritea)... probably not the best mix.
any advise would be helpful.
thanks!!

Hi Cassac,
Welcome to the forum.
Personally, I don't take in caffeine or alcohol while on Colonix just to be on the safe side of things. What's interesting to note is that after taking my first cleanse with Colonix and cutting coffee out of my daily routine, I found that I no longer "needed" it... even after the Colonix cycle was through. To this day, I don't drink coffee anymore.
It sounds like you're getting some decent results with the exception of the loose stools. If I were you I would experiment with cutting back on the water intake a bit and see what happens.
It would be great if you would update us on your progress... would you mind starting a thread of your own where you can do that (ie. "My Colonix Review - cassac")?

NMenon,
I have heard advise to increase the amount of fiber you use to reduce the diarrhea. Have you tried this? How are things going?

I'm on Day 20 of the Colonix/Toxinout (haven't posted in a few days here). Early this week, I spoke to one of the Dr Natura online help folks re: my loose stools, bloating etc. They asked me to cut back on the KleriTea steeping. I had been steeping only for 1.5 - 2 mins, so I asked her about stopping the tea altogether. She suggested I try that out.
Hence, I've been off the KleriTea for the last 5 nights. It's much better - I've been having 2 - 3 BMs a day, better formed than before. I still have diarrhea occasionally, but that happens when I don't eat right (e.g. last night, when I had some real greasy food).
I am yet to feel the energy surges or some of the other effects. One effect though is that I sleep much better. These days, I sleep right through the night (I'd wake up a couple of times otherwise). And this is without the tea. So something in the regimen is really deepening the sleep.
I do notice that the stool, when it is better formed, is kind of rubbery and spongy. It looks a bit like some of the infamous pictures, but I'm not sure if it's just the fibre coming out or whether it's the mucoid plaque (you know, the fibre is supposed to form into a thick sludge inside the system).

Hi Everyone,
I'm new. I have been reading for two days now on colonix and so I figured I'd order it and the toxinout. I hope I have a really good experience with it. I am a little nervous with all the crazy things I've read. I'm not sure what to think just yet.
I have never been regular. I have BMs about once or twice a week since I've known myself and I'm 30 so that makes it a pretty long time. I'm scared of some of the crazy stuff I've read about online.
I read this one woman peed a worm and she said she has one in her throat and sinuses, which if u ask me.. that would be to much for me. I would at the emergency room kicking and screaming to take them out and if for whatever reason said no. I would do it. I'm not sure if that's true seems a little far fetched for me but, you never know I guess.
When I start the process I'll write to let whoever is interested how it went. I never thought I would be writing about how many BMs I have and what they look like. I never even thought anyone would be interested in that info...lol. Just goes to show you, there is always a first time for everything and that life has so many surprises..lol. Till then .. Hasta luego.

Hi,
I started the colonix and toxinout program 4 days ago. I have been having BM as soon as I wake up. I have increased in amounts. I was used to a few pebbles here and there. I have gone a few times today already. However, I've been feeling really sleepy. I'm going to write to customer service and see what they have to say about it. I do know that fatigue is a side effect as your body gets rid of the toxins..so I've read.
I hope it gets better though with the frequency of BM as I continue my use of the program.
I do think it's a lot of pill. I'm not a pill person so it's hard for me and the amount of water I have to drink is most of time forced. I don't mind the water cause it is a great habit to get used to. anyway,I guess we'll wait and see.. No HUGE scary things yet let you know if and when it happens. Hope I never see worms..Thats something I can most diffidently live without.
Hasta luego. Jennie

Congratulations on taking the steps to help yourself get healthier. You will definatlely see a great change in your health although it may be subtle. How are you doing now? What changes have you noticed?
I have been using colonix for 8 years now and it is an amazing product. It really changed my life in so many ways. I suffered from hemorrhoids, constipation, candida, allergies, acne, insomnia and list goes on. I really was a mess. I also consulted with a naturopath and together with colonix and with a diet change it helped me turn my health problems into non exsistant issues. I am so much happier and healthier. Let us know how you are doing on the program and your results.
